Every year, thousands of British Christian teenagers head off to university for the first time. As recent research has shown, more than 40% of them won’t go to church once during their studies. This is a decision that has a much greater impact than many realise, as in the decade or so after graduation, students normally make decisions about their work, finances and relationships which set the course for the rest of our lives.
But for many students who get involved in Koinonia, university isn’t where they lose their faith, it’s where they find it, grab hold of it, and start to thrive. We’ve seen many students’ lives change because of the support and direction we give them, both in our public events, and as our staff help them put their faith into practice in their daily lives.
Our aim is to keep the message of the Gospel alive on campuses in London where it has become increasingly absent. In order to do that, we rely on your financial support. At the moment, we have twenty supporters who give to Koinonia every month via standing order, and we’re hoping that many more of you will join them.
We’re also convinced that, in addition to more financial giving, we need more of our supporters to pray for us. We’d love for more of the several hundred alumni we’ve had over the years to be praying for our work, and you can do that easily by clicking below to receive periodic prayer requests by email.
